We provide easy to follow and apply, effective and practical advice on how to spot and handle family drug problems.
The Problem
Children today are exposed to drugs earlier and earlier in their lives. We all want to think this will not happen to our child.
Parents believe that their son or daughter will never take drugs, only to find out too late that they already have a drug problem.
Unfortunately, parents are often the last to know.
When we asked children why they felt children started using drugs, the number one reason they gave is peer pressure.
Think back to when you were growing up.What pressures did you have to take drugs.Nowadays the pressure is much greater.
Parents can make a difference in keeping their children off drugs. The key is knowing the facts about drugs and what they do,and relaying that information to their children so they understand and can use it. So we formed " The Parental Guidance Group " to help inform parents about the effects of drugs and to show them there are solutions.
When you treat children with respect and you give them the truth about drugs and what they do to a person, your children will make their own decision not to take drugs.
