Dave Press, as well as being a very respected musician and entertainer, has completed his drug education training and has already conducted 6 very successful lectures in schools and to other groups. Dave took the idea further and is now taking his band on the road to combine drug education lectures with a full rock  concert. "This works a treat" says Dave "It's fun and the kids love music so the message really gets home to them."

"I want the kids to know that thier dreams are possible and that drugs are one of the problems that get in the way of achieving those dreams.
i want to educate them with the honest basic facts,  -I want them to be able to make up thier own minds."

"The great songs and playing come from the hearts and souls of the artists and not from the drugs, drugs are a hindrance and a distraction (and sometimes lethal). Ive seen so many artists fail and not achieve what they could because drugs got in the way and now I feel it a duty to do something about it -- the children are our future - who's going to teach them? I dont see enough people out there, so Im going to do what I can."

"The music business is riddled with drugs and that sucks - its not the artists - its the dealers and pushers and a lack of education. Jimi Hendrix didnt grow up thinking 'I can't wait to get stoned' -He wanted to play guitar! But he became surrounded by drug dealers and hangers on and he didnt have the protection (nor education!) to not give in to the pressure.  He would have produced many more great albums, he was looking at doing orchestral based music as well as funk and jazz projects!  Nobody stood up and did something about it when they could. I intend to help change that for the future great artists."

"The lectures themselves really do help and the kids really get it and want to pass it on to others.  I keep the lectures fun - I dont do boring or Mr. Serious."

"Dave delivered a superb workshop which was both empowering and educational, the participents complimented him on his enthusiasm, friendliness and professionalism and were inspired by his talk.  We would highly recommend Dave to any organization, it was a privilege to benefit from his knowledge and expertise" - Jackie Beckford CEO Carib Aid: Cultural and Educational Community Service Organization, Sussex.

Dave has also put on many successful anti drugs Band nights getting young rock bands together and performing on stage.

The next big bash is at Shirley High School in Croydon, June 23rd at 3pm. Dave did some very successful lectures at the school and was invited back to do another lecture followed by a full rock concert with the band.

"The kids are great and they are the future, lets look after them."
